David DeWalt
Chairman of the Board and CEO
Dave has served as chief executive officer since November 2012 and as chairman of the board since May 2012. Prior to joining FireEye, Dave served as president, chief executive officer, and director of McAfee, Inc. from April 2007 until February 2011 when McAfee was acquired by Intel Corporation. He served as president of McAfee, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intel, from February 2011 to August 2011. From December 2003 to March 2007, Dave held various positions at EMC Corporation, a developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions. Prior to EMC, Dave served as president and chief executive officer of Documentum, Inc. and from August 1999 to December 2003, he held other senior executive positions at Documentum. Dave has served on the board of directors of Polycom, Inc. since November 2005 as its chairman of the board since May 2010. He has also served on the board of directors of Delta Air Lines, Inc. since November 2011 and on the board of directors of Jive Software, Inc. from February 2011 to April 2013. Dave holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Delaware.
Ashar Aziz
Founder, Vice Chairman of the Board, CTO, and Chief Strategy Officer
Ashar founded FireEye in 2004 and served as chief executive officer until November 2012. He has served as vice chairman of the board, chief technology officer, and chief strategy officer since November 2012 and as a member of the board of directors since February 2004. Prior to FireEye, Ashar founded Terraspring, Inc., a data center automation and virtualization company acquired by Sun Microsystems, Inc., in November 2002 and served as chief technology officer of its N1 program until October 2003. Prior to Terraspring, Inc., he spent 12 years at Sun Microsystems as a distinguished engineer focused on networking and network security. Ashar holds an S.B. in electrical engineering and computer science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a M.S. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, where he received the U.C. Regents Fellowship.
Bahman Mahbod
Executive Vice President of Engineering and Security Research
Bahman has served as executive vice president of engineering and security research since February 2012, and as vice president of engineering and security research from October 2007 to February 2012. Prior to joining FireEye, he served as head of server engineering, quality assurance, and technical publications at Gemini Mobile Technologies, Inc., a provider of infrastructure and mobile messaging software, from 2005 to 2007, and vice president of engineering, network operations, and client services at FaceTime Communications (now Actiance), a provider of extensible real-time security and management solutions, from 1999 to 2005. Prior to that, Bahman held various leadership positions at IBM Corporation, Sybase, Inc., Vantive Inc., and Bell-Northern Research Co. Bahman holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Alexa King
Vice President of Legal, General Counsel and Secretary
Alexa has served as vice president of legal, general counsel, and secretary since April 2012. Prior to joining FireEye, Alexa was vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Aruba Networks, Inc., a provider of enterprise wireless networks, from December 2005 to April 2012. From 2000 to 2005, Alexa served as senior director of legal at Siebel Systems, Inc. a software company, and her early career included working at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop) and Fenwick & West. Additionally, Alexa served as founding director of Pathbrite, Inc. (f/k/a RippleSend, Inc.) from 2008 to 2009 and as advisor from 2009 to 2011. Alexa graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a degree in Eastern European Studies and received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, where she was named to the Order of the Coif.
Brent Remai
Chief Marketing Officer
As chief marketing officer, Brent brings over 20 years of marketing and strategy experience from top-tier companies such as McAfee, HP, and Palm as well as start-ups. Brent joined FireEye from McAfee, where he was vice president of worldwide marketing, responsible for all marketing for the $1B consumer, web, and mobile security businesses. At McAfee, he helped achieve record growth and market share, which ultimately led to the sale of McAfee to Intel for $7.7B. Prior to this role Brent was the vice president of product and field marketing for Palm where he helped spawn the smartphone market and grew revenue to over $1.5B. Brent also held senior management positions at HP, and his work has earned three coveted industry marketing awards. He holds an M.B.A. from the Ivey School of Business (Western) and a B. Comm. from the University of Saskatchewan.
Michael Sheridan
Chief Financial Officer
Mike has served as our chief financial officer since June 2011. Prior to joining FireEye, Mike was chief financial officer at Mimosa Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise content archiving systems, from 2009 until its acquisition by Iron Mountain, Inc. in 2010. Prior to Mimosa Systems, Inc., Mike was chief financial officer of Playlist, Inc., a social media and Internet company, from 2008 to 2009, Facebook Inc., a social media and Internet company, from 2006 to 2007, IGN Entertainment, Inc., a media and entertainment company (acquired by News Corporation in 2005), from 2004 to 2006, and SonicWALL, Inc., a network security and data protection company, from 1999 to 2003. Mike received a B.S. in commerce from Santa Clara University.
Jeffrey Williams
Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development
Jeff has served as vice president of worldwide sales and business development since March 2010. He also served as a member of the advisory board from April 2006 to February 2010. Prior to joining FireEye, Jeff was vice president of sales at Cisco Systems, Inc. from April 2003 to January 2010. Prior to Cisco Systems, Jeff managed sales for IronPort Systems, Inc. prior to its acquisition by Cisco Systems in June 2007. Prior to IronPort, Jeff was vice president of sales at IntruVert Networks, Inc., which was acquired by McAfee, from February 2002 to April 2003. Prior to IntruVert Networks, Jeff was vice president of sales of Abeona Networks, Inc. from January 2001 to January 2002 and at GlobalCenter Inc., which was acquired by Exodus Communications, from February 1990 to January 2001. Additionally, Jeff served on the board of directors of Meraki, Inc. from 2010 until its acquisition by Cisco Systems in 2012. He holds a B.S. in marketing from California State University, Chico.
Julie Cullivan
Chief Information Officer
As chief information officer, Julie brings over 25 years of systems and programs experience in enterprise high tech companies to FireEye. Most recently she was vice president of global sales and marketing operations at Autodesk where she led the global rollout of new CRM, eLearning, and lead management systems, and evaluated new technologies and tools to improve productivity and optimize resources. Prior to Autodesk, Julie was senior vice president, worldwide sales operations at McAfee where she led the global sales and channel operations functions to drive go to market strategies, best practices, systems, process, and productivity across five geographical theatres. Julie has also held executive roles at EMC, Asera, and Oracle. Julie received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Santa Clara University.
Craig Martin
Vice President of Manufacturing Operations
Craig is vice president of manufacturing operations and brings over 30 years of rapid growth, high technology manufacturing experience to FireEye with both established and startup companies. He was most recently vice president of supply chain operations at Juniper Networks for five years where he managed all of their manufacturing operations, component sourcing operations, and worldwide fulfillment and logistics teams. Prior to Juniper, Craig held executive positions as vice president of manufacturing and customer service at Good Technology, vice president of materials for 3Com, and founder and vice president of manufacturing for NeTpower, and had a 13-year career in manufacturing at Hewlett Packard where he began his career. Craig graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics and Transportation Management from the University of Colorado.
Ken Gonzalez
Vice President of Corporate Development
Ken is vice president of corporate development for FireEye. Ken joined FireEye from Avast Software B.V. where he served as chief strategy officer and was responsible for corporate strategy, business development, inbound licensing, and merger and acquisition processes. Prior to Avast, Ken held executive positions at both McAfee and Siebel. In his role at McAfee, Ken led the corporate development team through 16 acquisitions, multiple inbound licenses, and complex partnerships, ultimately concluding with the company’s $7.7B sale to Intel. At Siebel, he helped guide the company through 15 acquisitions, including its $6B sale to Oracle. Ken has also served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. Ken received his M.B.A. in General Management from Harvard Business School and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Manish Gupta
Senior Vice President of Products
As senior vice president of products, Manish brings close to 15 years of experience in leading product management, product strategy, and product marketing at top tier technology companies such as Cisco, McAfee, Redback Networks, and Intel. Most recently, Manish was the vice president of marketing for the security technology business unit at Cisco, where he joined in 2012 and defined their three-year security strategy. From 2007 to 2012, Manish held a vice president position at McAfee where he led product strategy for a $300M+ product portfolio. He was awarded his M.B.A. in Marketing, Finance, and Strategy from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and holds an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering.
Anthony Kolish
Senior Vice President of Customer Services
As senior vice president of customer services, Tony leads customer support, professional services, and training services at FireEye. Tony has over 20 years of broad technology services experience from roles at Documentum, Idiom, Segue Software, and Softbridge where he led services organizations. Prior to joining FireEye, Tony was senior vice president of customer service at EMC. Tony graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Barbara Massa
Vice President of Human Resources
Barbara is vice president of human resources and oversees the global human resource organization at FireEye. Prior to FireEye, Barbara served as vice president of global talent and diversity at McAfee. She brings over 22 years of experience in high technology from roles at EMC, Documentum, and Cadence Design Systems. Barbara has led teams delivering record numbers of attracting and hiring top talent in high growth organizations, and is a recognized thought leader on global talent strategy and expansion. During her tenure at McAfee, Barbara helped found the first “women in security” affinity group. Barbara is also the recipient of YWCA’s Silicon Valley TWIN award for outstanding executive leadership.
