FireEye CEO To Address Growing Threat Of Botnets At Dow Jones Enterprise Innovations Conference

Ashar Aziz Continues Series of Presentations at Leading Business and Industry Forums to Tackle Issues Surrounding Ever-Evolving Malware

MENLO PARK, Calif.—July 16, 2007—Ashar Aziz, CEO of FireEye, the leader in next generation network security platforms, will present at the Dow Jones Enterprise Innovations Conference, on Tuesday, July 17, 2007. The presentation by Aziz, which will address the botnet pandemic, marks the latest in his series of discussions focused on the increasing global threat of botnets and other forms of malware.

Entitled "Taking Control Back From Botnets," Aziz's presentation at the conference will examine the real danger associated with botnets for enterprises and Internet users while demystifying the hype surrounding the issue. The prevalence of botnets is growing at an alarming rate, crossing corporate boundaries and spreading undetected infections behind corporate firewalls -- so much, in fact, that the FBI ranks it among its top priorities along with espionage and terrorism. As part of his discussion, Aziz will outline steps on how to protect networks and the Internet from bot infiltration.

Aziz holds over 20 patents in the areas of networking, network security and datacenter virtualization. As founder and CEO of FireEye, as well as a leading authority on botnets and other rampant malware, Aziz's recent speaking appearances at leading business and industry forums include the 7th Annual Morgan Stanley CTO Summit, Computer and Enterprise Investigations Conference (CEIC) and RSA 2007.
