FireEye Achieves Integration Certification with ArcSight ETRM Platform

FireEye Releases CEF Connector for ArcSight to Combine Security Event Management with Next-Generation Threat Prevention

LAS VEGAS (Black Hat USA 2010 Conference)–July 28, 2010– FireEye, Inc., the leader in next-generation Malware Protection Systems (MPS), announced today it has joined the ArcSight Common Event Format (CEF) program with certification of the FireEye Malware Protection System. Federal and enterprise customers can now consolidate FireEye threat prevention intelligence into the ArcSight Enterprise Threat and Risk Management (ETRM) platform to accurately stop data exfiltration and malware infections.

The FireEye MPS blocks targeted attacks and provides accurate, actionable events that highlight the exact nature of an inbound attack or outbound callback, such as data theft or fraudulent transaction activities. Using the ArcSight platform and the platform’s built-in workflow engine, IT analysts can prioritize their risk mitigation activities to these high-priority incidents.

"FireEye is an exciting addition to the ArcSight CEF program. Dynamic, real-time malware intelligence is critical to combat today’s zero-hour attacks and advanced persistent threats," said Arcsight Senior Vice President of Business Development, Jeff Scheel.  "As a member of the partner program, FireEye can deliver next-generation threat prevention intelligence to extend the broad capabilities of the ArcSight ETRM platform, further enhance the security ROI for our customers, and strengthen security against targeted attacks like Operation Aurora."

FireEye's state-of-the-art malware analysis engine provides dynamic, real-time technology for customers to obtain clear, actionable intelligence, accelerate incident response, and mitigate financial and data losses.  FireEye’s Malware-VM™ and Malware-Callback™ technologies analyze both inbound and outbound network traffic to provide a complete view of malicious activities to the ArcSight ETRM platform and stop advanced threats targeting the largest and most complex federal and enterprise networks..

As a leading global provider of enterprise threat and risk management solutions that protect business and government organizations, ArcSight has taken a leadership role in the security industry, by developing a log management standard that SIM/SEM vendors, customers and partners can leverage to develop their own valuable innovations in security technology. FireEye's CEF certification by ArcSight reinforces FireEye's ease of enterprise security integration and commitment to interoperability with the majority of network security and infrastructure products deployed throughout enterprises.

"The key to combating Modern Malware is stopping all phases of the malware infection lifecycle.  By integrating the FireEye MPS with the ArcSight ETRM platform, our joint customers can break the entire Modern Malware infection lifecycle while streamlining their IT security processes to stop data breaches and resource thefts," said FireEye founder and CEO, Ashar Aziz. "We are joining the ArcSight CEF partner program to support our customers and foster the next generation enterprise security management ecosystem that is critical to combat modern cyber criminals."

FireEye will showcase its next generation Malware Protection Systems (MPS) at Black Hat USA 2010 in booth #50 July 28 and 29.
