FireEye Appoints Steve Pataky as Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances

Former Juniper Vice President to Fuel Partner Program

Milpitas, CA - Sep 12, 2013 – FireEye Inc., the leader in stopping today's new breed of cyber attacks, today announced the appointment of Steve Pataky as vice president of worldwide channels and alliances, which was effective on August 26th. In his position, Pataky is tasked with heightening the relationships between FireEye and its expanded ecosystem of resellers, distributors, and partners that sell and implement the FireEye Threat Prevention Platform.

Pataky brings more than 25 years of experience architecting and executing global channel and go-to-market strategies to his new role, including holding a variety of domestic and global channel sales and channel development roles with 3Com, Vertical Networks, and NetScreen. Prior to joining FireEye, Pataky was vice president of worldwide channel development and programs at Juniper Networks, where he was responsible for building and launching the company's Partner Advantage Program.

“Steve’s expertise in the design and day-to-day operation of partner programs and recruitment strengthen our ability to expand the FireEye partner network,” said David DeWalt, FireEye chairman and CEO. "FireEye is dedicated to addressing the threat of today’s new breed of cyber attacks, and we are excited to have Steve join us to help meet the growth in customer demand for our products and services.”

Pataky will help better serve the ecosystem of partners that rely on FireEye through the company’s recently introduced Fuel Partner Program. The program enables partners to broaden their market services offerings while addressing critical Web, email, and file security problems for enterprises and government agencies.

“FireEye addresses a critical need in the enterprise today, and provides organizations with an open framework for sharing and aggregating threat intelligence to better protect themselves against cyber attacks,” said Pataky. “I look forward to helping to provide each of our partners with the tools and resources necessary to become trusted security advisors to their customers while accelerating their opportunities in the threat protection market.”

About FireEye, Inc.

FireEye has invented a purpose-built, virtual machine-based security platform that provides real-time threat protection to enterprises and governments worldwide against the next generation of cyber attacks. These highly sophisticated cyber attacks easily circumvent traditional signature-based defenses, such as next-generation firewalls, IPS, anti-virus, and gateways. The FireEye Threat Prevention Platform provides real-time, dynamic threat protection without the use of signatures to protect an organization across the primary threat vectors, including Web, email, and files and across the different stages of an attack life cycle. The core of the FireEye platform is a virtual execution engine, complemented by dynamic threat intelligence, to identify and block cyber attacks in real time. FireEye has over 1,100 customers across more than 40 countries, including over 100 of the Fortune 500.
