FireEye, Inc. Ranked Fastest Growing Communications/Networking Company in North America on Deloitte’s 2013 Technology Fast 500™

Company Experiences 36,667 Percent Annual Revenue Growth from 2008 to 2012

Milpitas, CA - Nov 18, 2013 – FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the leader in stopping today’s advanced cyber attacks, today announced it ranked number one in the list of fastest growing communications / networking companies on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™. The ranking is based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2008 to 2012. FireEye annual revenue grew 36,667 percent during this period.

FireEye chief executive officer, David DeWalt, credits the company’s unique, virtual machine-based approach to identifying and blocking the next generation of cyber attacks—such as zero-day threats and advanced persistent threats—for fueling the company’s 36,667 percent growth.

Technology Fast 500, conducted by Deloitte LLP, provides a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology companies – both public and private - in North America. Technology Fast 500 award winners are selected based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2008 to 2012.

In order to be eligible for Technology Fast 500 recognition, companies must own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues. Companies must have base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD or CD, and current-year operating revenues of at least $5 million USD or CD.
