We are thrilled to announce that cyber security innovator Tony Scott will be our latest keynote speaker at Cyber Defense Summit 2018 (CDS), taking place in Washington D.C. from Oct. 1 to Oct. 4. We recently announced that Frank Blake, former Chairman and CEO of The Home Depot, and former United States Secretary of State Dr. Madeleine Albright would be among the keynote speakers, so we’re even more excited now that Tony will be joining the mix.
Throughout his 40-year career, Tony has shaped technologies at some of the most well-known companies, including Microsoft®, General Motors, VMware, and The Walt Disney Company. If that wasn’t enough, President Barack Obama appointed him Chief Information Officer of the United States in 2015, where he led the government response to a series of cyber intrusions. Nowadays, Tony leads the TonyScottGroup, which offers cutting edge solutions and strategies to enterprises.
Tony’s CDS keynote is called, “Protecting Your Company and Your Customers from Cyber Attacks.” Today’s threat actors are indiscriminate – they target organizations of all sizes, in all industries, and across the entire globe. Tony will be drawing from his decades of experience in the public and private sectors, including leading the response to a historic breach of federal government data, to provide the audience with modern digital approaches for securing an organization, as well as the customers they serve.
The Keynotes are Fun, But There’s More!
The keynotes will kick off CDS on the mornings of Oct. 3 and Oct. 4. On Oct. 3, we will hear from FireEye CEO Kevin Mandia, Tony, and Secretary Albright. The Oct. 4 keynotes will feature Frank, FireEye CTO Grady Summers, and FireEye VP and head of Global Intelligence Operations, Sandra Joyce.
As excited as we are to hear from our keynote speakers, there will be plenty more to experience at Cyber Defense Summit 2018, including the Breakout Sessions during the afternoons of Oct. 3 and Oct. 4. This year we have three tracks, focused on specific audiences and the issues they care about: Executive Track, Technical Track and Solutions Track. Breakout tracks will feature a variety of topics presented by top experts from FireEye and other organizations.
Additionally, the following pre-Summit training sessions will take place on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.:
- Alert Analysis
- Creative Red Teaming
- Endpoint Security Investigations
- Enterprise Incident Response
- Essentials of Malware Analysis
- FireEye Threat Analytics
- Network Traffic Analysis
CDS has always been the place to be to hear about the most important issues and latest intelligence from the leading voices in cyber security. With Tony joining our already stellar list of speakers, this year’s event is shaping up to be the best CDS yet. We look forward to seeing you there!
