Stemming from an interest in cyber security, Blaine, Customer Support Intern, saw something in FireEye that differentiates it from other companies. “I chose FireEye because I am very interested in cyber security and was impressed with the company as a whole,” Blaine, our Customer Support Intern says. His interview team also helped his decision in choosing to intern at FireEye.
“I have really enjoyed all the opportunities to learn about the different aspects of cyber security. I've also had many opportunities to network with my coworkers..."
Working with the Customer Support team in FireEye’s Utah office, Blaine’s day-to-day typically involves working closely with customer appliances. “I triage for false positive and false negative alters on our customers’ appliances, as well as take inventory of, organize, and fix the appliances in the AMS Customer Support Lab.” There’s rarely a dull moment for Blaine who also writes scripts to help automate the process of requesting system access for new hires.
“I have really enjoyed all the opportunities to learn about the different aspects of cyber security.” Some that get Blaine most exited include trainings for network traffic analysis and enterprise incident response and attending FLARECON. “I’ve also had many opportunities to network with my coworkers and learn about their career experiences and plans.”
“My manager, mentor, and coworkers are awesome, and the Draper office is a great environment to work in!”
