New program provides customers with extended technology integrations and services
FireEye®, Inc. the leader in stopping advanced targeted attacks, announced today a new strategic alliance program. The program is aimed at integrating complementary technologies and services with the FireEye Malware Protection System™ (MPS) to provide customers best-in-class interoperability, streamlined security operations centers, and reductions to the mean time to resolution to cost effectively secure critical data, intellectual property, and networks against advanced targeted attacks, such as APT attacks.
"Our customers employ sophisticated incident response mechanisms based around the FireEye MPS platform," said Jeff Williams, vice president of worldwide sales and business development. "By partnering with technology suppliers and other security companies in complementary markets, such as SIEM vendors, host-based remediation tools, and consulting firms, FireEye is building an advanced threat protection ecosystem around our world-class capabilities to stop advanced targeted attacks."
The FireEye alliance program includes leading companies such as Mandiant, Guidance Software, VSS Monitoring, Gigamon, Trusteer, and others. The partnership with Guidance Software, for example, saves our joint customers time so that their analysts can focus on preventing the recurrence of advanced targeted attacks.
The program also includes cyber security consulting partners, such as Accuvant Labs, who are a vital part of the security landscape by providing services ranging from CISO policy review, to incident response, to remediation services. Another component of the program will be assessment services to detect compromised machines and to offer services to manage and maintain FireEye appliances on the customers’ sites.
The FireEye Malware Protection System is the only complete solution to stop advanced targeted attacks across the Web and email threat vectors and malware resident on file shares. The FireEye security platform offers integrated, multi-vector protection utilizing stateful attack analysis to stop all stages of an advanced attack. Each of FireEye's products features the Virtual Execution (VX) engine that provides state-of-the-art, signature-less analysis using the most sophisticated virtual machines. The MPS builds a 360-degree, stage-by-stage analysis of an advanced attack, from system exploitation to data exfiltration, in order to stop would-be APT attackers.
