FireEye Taps Singapore’s Talent Pool for Regional Support Centre

Expansion Capitalizes on Demand in Asia

FireEye®, Inc., the leader in stopping today’s new breed of cyber attacks, unveiled plans to establish a regional customer support centre, supported in part by the Singapore Economic Development Board. The regional support centre is expected to create over 100 – and perhaps many more – new jobs in Singapore within the next three years. The FireEye expansion capitalizes on the demand for its products in the Asia Pacific region.

The establishment of a regional support centre in Singapore is designed to take advantage of the nation’s strong pool of talent.

“Singapore is already a well-established location with a strong history with technology,“ said Anthony Kolish, FireEye senior vice president of customer services. “For FireEye, it makes strategic sense to be part of Singapore’s pro-business infrastructure and its strong regional connectivity to better serve our customers in the region.”

“We are delighted that FireEye has chosen to establish its first ever regional customer support centre in Singapore” says Mr Gian Yi-Hsen, director of Safety and Security Industry Programme Office (SSIPO). “This is a strong validation of Singapore’s growing position as a regional hub for cyber security solutions in Asia Pacific. Cyber security companies like FireEye can leverage Singapore’s strong connectivity to regional markets and access to a diverse talent pool to develop new solutions and capabilities to serve their growing base of customers in Asia.”

The FireEye location in Singapore comes after a two-year expansion drive that has seen the opening of sales offices in Japan, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. Most recently, the company announced new support centers in Cork, Ireland and Salt Lake City, Utah in the U.S., and established an R&D center in Bangalore, India that will serve as a hub for development and testing.

Established in 2004, FireEye is deployed in over 40 countries and serves more than 25 percent of the Fortune 100 companies as customers. FireEye is ranked fourth on the Deloitte 2012 Technology Fast 500™ with revenue increasing 55,413 percent from 2007 to 2011. The FireEye security solutions have proven so effective at countering advanced threats such as ‘zero-day’ and ‘polymorphic’ attacks, and advanced persistent threats (APTs) that it is being deployed at the largest enterprises and government organizations in the world.

As part of the Singapore launch, FireEye is hosting a live hiring event on April 10 and 11 from 9 AM to 5 PM at the InterContinental Singapore hotel, located at 80 Middle Road.

About FireEye, Inc.

FireEye® has pioneered the next generation of threat protection to help organizations protect themselves from being compromised. Cyber attacks have become much more sophisticated and are now easily bypassing traditional signature-based defenses, such as next-generation firewalls, IPS, anti-virus, and gateways, compromising the majority of enterprise networks. The FireEye platform supplements these legacy defenses with a new model of security to protect against the new breed of cyber attacks. The unique FireEye platform provides the industry’s only cross-enterprise threat protection fabric to dynamically identify and block cyber attacks in real time. The core of the FireEye platform is a signature-less, virtualized detection engine and a cloud-based threat intelligence network, which help organizations protect their assets across all major threat vectors, including Web, email, mobile, and file-based cyber attacks. The FireEye platform is deployed in over 40 countries and more than 1,000 customers and partners, including over 25 percent of the Fortune 100.
